During this Dutch spoken screening, we offer secondary and MBO education teachers tools for providing relationship and sexuality education through film in the classroom. A large number of teachers have expressed dissatisfaction with the content of relationship and sexuality education lessons, according to research from Rutgers. This teacher screening with a follow-up discussion is a response to that. We will watch the teen documentary series Blozende Oortjes, where teenagers themselves discuss relationships, sex, consent, gender, and sexuality. After the screening, there will be a follow-up discussion with an education expert from Belle Barbé’s sexuality school. During this discussion, practical tips and a guide will be presented for creating a safe environment in the classroom. Additionally, we will show how to use the series for teaching relationship and sexuality education and the expert from the sexuality school will answer all your pressing questions on these topics in a Q&A session.
