Filmmaker Ole Askman parallels the traffic in Copenhagen with an orchestra that needs a police officer as its stern director. To the musical rhythm of Tchaikovsky's composition Capriccio Italien the officer steers the traffic in the right direction. The fact that Askman chose a policeman as his main character, was not exactly applauded by some people in the 'revolutionary year' 1968. One of his revolutionary film colleagues even called him a pig.
