The film follows the musicians on their world tour without our knowing what specific country they are in. It does not matter; even the band members admit they have stopped keeping track of where they are. The experience is the same everywhere they go: for hours on end on the bus, driving to the next show, and always a few women who want to prolong their Soulwax experience with the band members after the show. What is Soulwax exactly? Some would call it "techno", others "electronic" or "psychedelic". The fact is that this style is a product of DJ-ing, remixing and all the other elements with which music is geared to the needs of the dancing crowds. A stirring rhythm, the repetition of two notes, the distortion of the sound. Not without a certain cynicism, one of the band members claims that Soulwax offers the soundtrack to their audience's decadent lifestyle.
