ROOM WITHOUT A VIEW is the personal story of filmmaker and journalist Rada Sesic, who fled Sarajevo in 1993. The poetic film shows what it is like to come to a distant land and pick up the strands of your life again. The film consists of two parts. The first part depicts the isolation of a newcomer in a strange country and the drag of daily life. In the second part Sesic presents idyllic memories of the life she left behind. Sesic also wonders whether those who fled the war are really happy, however well they try to adapt to their new lives. Rada Sesic was born in Croatia and studied journalism at the University of Sarajevo. She has lived in Holland since 1993 and is active as a journalist and filmmaker.
