1960. When a Hartford couple turns to psychiatry for help with their marriage, things quickly spiral out of control. Counselling, therapy, group therapy and 24-hour marathon sessions ensue. Their four children begin to suffer and are also put into therapy. Pills are prescribed, people are institutionalized, shock therapy administered\'85 \par \par The most novel suggestion is that they make tape recordings for their psychologist: diaries, family fights, letters\'85 When Allis dies, a big box of these tapes is found in the shed. MY LIFE AFTER DEATH is composed entirely of these tapes, home movies and family snapshots.
