From 1944 until 1946 George Rouquier shot the film farrebique. The title derives from the name of the farmstead Rouquier had chosen as the central point for a documentary about the life of farmers from the region he himself came from.
After 38 years Rouquier returns to the region in order to make a sequel, biquefarre, after the name of the nearby farmstead which the owners of Farrebique intend to buy. The film is a reflection of a new era. The people are confronted with testimonies of 38 years ago. The passing of time is represented in the film in a moving and direct way.
