Boven in de kerselaar

A short cinematographic impression of cherry-picking season in Holland’s Betuwe region. Made in a time when mechanisation had not yet taken over fruit farming, it is pleasing to watch people carefully hand-picking cherries from the trees. Everyday depictions of the work-break or the schooing off of hungry birds are visualised in graphic ways.
