This associatively edited combination of feature film, animation, and documentary from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki begins with a real clip from a Finnish radio show called \i Night Line\i0 . The host is talking with an anonymous 16-year-old girl in psychiatric distress. Everyone hates her at school, especially since they all found out that she had an affair with a classmate's mother's boyfriend. Their awkward conversation gets illustrated with abstract black-and-white animation, interspersed with dramatized footage of a young woman who silently lies in bed or sits on the couch. In the next shot, she is standing alone on the dance floor with Haddaway's "What Is Love" playing on the soundtrack. The loud disco hit continues into the next, completely different scene: archive footage of an elk getting captured. The entire film is full of these combinations of clashing images, complemented by taut, stylized close-ups of everyday things like wet skin in the shower, snow falling in front of a streetlight, and a washing machine churning away.
