I, Afrikaner

I, AFRIKANER is a film about the conflict between the past and the future - A war
of the psyche set in the wide-open spaces of South African farms.From a very
personal perspective a daughter explores the deeply rooted complexities of rural
Afrikaner life and the emotional contradictions they experience in
post-Apartheid South Africa. The film exposes a bloodstained rural tapestry
where the storyteller's family have become victims of farm attacks and
murders.Filming her family over the past six years, the filmmaker recorded their
day-to-day lives, the challenges and how they view themselves in a dramatically
changing country.
