Festival history

Digital wanderings through the streets of Paris in the company of the city's inhabitants. You embark on a journey from one of the 14 starting points located throughout the city, ranging from the old center to the newly built eastern suburb of Bussy, the commercial center La Défense, and the called Bondy. At each location, you can choose one of two people to show you around his or her part of Paris; we see a total of 23 Parisians in the 24 brief portraits, each with a very personal relationship to the city. Metro ticket collector Cathie sees "her" Line 7 as a microcosm of the metropolis, where people from all walks of life come together. Fabien is working on a new mental map of the city that leaves "everyday functionality" behind. Soccer coach Gaël is planning to leave because he doesn't want his children growing up in the same conditions he once endured. Each "guide" leads you through to another district, where you are presented with a new choice. As you roam the capital, your movements are recorded in detail on the main map, so you can always see which areas you have and haven't visited. For IDFA DocLab, director Simon Bouisson will create a live version of in the cinema.
