With Zintuigen zijn de Voetjes van de Ziel Brigit Hillenius made a intimateportrait of her father, writer/biologist Dick Hillenius, who died in 1987. In conversationswith people who were close to him Dick emerges as a contagious storyteller and astrong personality, who sometimes unintentionally overshadowed others. But Dick'sdeath has left a great emptiness. Brigit takes her camera to Madagascar, for example,to capture on film what her father saw on his travels. But she fails in finding the sameenchantment in the forest as there was in his stories.
