How musical can a film be? Sound and image, coming from Alan Berliner's personal archive, react to each other, challenge each other, support or manipulate each other. In Berliner's own words, they couple "the actual with the possible, pre-history with science fiction, magic with scientific fact." Documentary footage and images that seem to come from information films come together in a cacophony of sound and image, in which the most imaginative transitions spontaneously succeed each other in yet another story in which the story is absent. The jokes, syncopations, beats, and associations that slowly shift from animal to man tell all the more and invite us to look with a new perspective.
