Bloot - Borsten

Surprising animated documentary in which a girl talks candidly about growing breasts. Scenes in which the girl is interviewed in her room are alternated with visualisations of the situations she describes. For instance, we see her lying on the beach with a friend and filling her bikini top with sand. The animated images, which were made by drawing on and colouring video images, create the distance the girl needs to tell her story without inhibition. At the same time, the images and movements remain highly realistic, owing to the rotoscope animations used.
