We die like we dream: alone. A film about a complex case of human isolation in Trás-o-Montes, a province in the northeast of Portugal. Owing to the desolation of the place, only old people and children stay there. There is a second-hand bridge from the National Train Company, bought by the 36 villagers with the help of a European programme, but will it save the old village of Chelas from complete isolation? The film shows the contrast between two generations and two different points of view about the bridge. A documentary inspired by a dream.
