The film is an account of one day in Vietnam. A parallel is drawn between the life of the American president of the day Lyndon B. Johnson and that of the Vietnamese population. The customs and emotions of the Vietnamese citizens are contrasted with the bombings and casualties of the war. The music plays an important, guiding role in the documentary, which portrays the United States as a sadistic oppressor.
