Ecuador, Brazil
The film tries to answer questions about colonization by following the story of two sets of characters in contemporary Ecuador. On one hand, Ima Fabian Nenquimo and some other former members of the community of Quehueiri-Ono, in Ecuador’s Amazonia, reunite after twenty years with the scientists who once conducted with them an astonishing ethnobotany study. In parallel the film follows the initiative of a group of ecologists from Quito who proposed not long ago a moratorium on oil exploitation in Huaorani land.
