is an autobiographical film in which Depardon uses his film and photo work to sketch his agrarian background and professional development. Two short films, lots of photographs and Depardon's tranquil, precise narrative voice take the spectator back in time, and provide an unusually intimate glimpse of Depardon's life. "No, no, don't cut. . This film is finished. I'm not used to speaking into a microphone. And I don't want to rehearse and we don't have to start all over. It was real, and direct: during the shooting of this film my mother passed away. That is why this film is dedicated to my parents. But I remain a photographer; that is my family." (Raymond Depardon at the end of ).
