The Indian girl Nisha is a serious child. When her friends are playing, she often sits quietly in a corner. She does like to dance; when she is bigger, she wants to become a dancer. Nisha is often ill, she feels tired, and sometimes she has a cough or a fever. Then, she goes to the hospital with her mother and she gets some pills. One day, her mother tells Nisha what is wrong with her: she has AIDS, an incurable disease. Her mother has it, too, and her father even died from it. Nisha is afraid of what will come, but she talks about it with hardly anybody. Not even with her best friend, fearing that she will refuse to play with her once she knows about the illness.
