The Finnish filmmaker Ditte Uljas recently graduated from the ‘Urku School of Art and Communications’. With her short video film HYTTI she has made a rather unusual family portrait. Years ago Ditte had a quarrel with her sister. They kicked each other, her sister fell down and hurt herself. Ditte apologised, but her sister did not want to speak with her anymore. Not only that day, no, ever again. Time went by and the two sisters hardly ever saw each other. Until one day the family plans to make a holiday trip. We see father, mother and the two sisters in a hut (hytti). Father is watching television, mother is crying, but the two sisters, sitting next to each other on a bed, make their first cautious attempt to reconcile their dispute.
