is a film about the history of Quebec, filmed from the perspective of its women. It shows the area of tension in which these women live: the difference between the development of their own possibilities and the obligations to husband and society. On the basis of data about past and present this idea is elaborated. But it also indicates ways to create a world in which the 'condition feminine' is well shown up.
was made as part of , a collection of films investigating the identity of Quebec's women.
