Festival history

Joan Dougherty cleans up after people have died. Sometimes, it is a case of murder or suicide. At other times, a corpse has been lying around for days. She dispels the smell, controls maggots and cockroaches and collects the body parts. This gives the relatives a better opportunity for mourning. Dougherty used to be a hairdresser. She started her company because nobody helped her after her stepson had killed himself. She is sober-minded and never has any nightmares, but she rarely leaves her house without some bleach.
