Zombie Town

From August 1993 Marc J. Hawker stayed in Belgrade as a producer for theillegal radio station B92. Zombie town offers a unique glance behind the scenes of thecultural underground of Belgrade. Main character is Fleka, a blind DJ and leadingfigure of the musical subculture. Zombie town is a provoking film that does not choose sides, but gives the floor to theSerb youngsters themselves. What does it mean to them to be young in a war?torncountry? Like many youngsters, most of them just want to listen to the music they likeon the radio. But they were born in what is now the most hated European country,which turns any form of youth culture and pop music into a political statement.
