Requiem voor een film

Shortly after the war, a little boy sees a film in the Amsterdam cinema De Uitkijk, which he is unable to forget for the rest of his life, and which he will watch again and again: , from 1935. The director is Friedrich Fehér, his wife Magda Sonja and their son Hans play the leading parts.
The little boy in Amsterdam became a writer: K. Schippers. For many years, he has tried to find out the facts behind the mysterious history of the Fehérs. This year, he started a search, together with Cherry Duyns. The journey went from Amsterdam to London, from Bussum to Hollywood and Las Vegas, from Vienna to Grimaud. During the trip, a part of the European film history was revealed, and the course of life of Friedrich Fehér and his family was divulged by the very latest witnesses.
