Amadeu, Amadeu!

On a Friday night in 1990, an Angolan contract worker who is working in a small town in the former GDR loses his life after a group of young Germans have rounded him up. Only when the victim's girlfriend manages to flee to West Berlin a few months later the gruesome deed gets publicity. Not until that time do the hearings really get underway. AMADEU, AMADEU! is a reconstruction of that terrible Friday night, but also of what preceded the confrontation. It contains witness reports by relatives, two offenders, a policeman who was present, a bar owner who was involved. Most culprits have meanwhile been convicted, but are still on the loose.
