Three Identical Strangers
What are the odds that you would turn up for your first day at a new school and be mistaken for a brother you didn’t even know you had? And then to make the story even more bizarre, before long another person turns up whose genetic similarity is unmistakable.
Triplets Bobby, Eddy and David were separated shortly after birth and spent their childhoods in different adoptive families, completely unaware of each other’s existence. After their reunion, they find themselves plunged into a warm bath of public attention that takes them from one newspaper and talk show to another. Time and again, people are amazed at how nature proves to be more dominant than nurture.
But when the honeymoon period is over, the story—related dramatically through interviews, voice-overs and archive material—takes a strange and tragic turn. It turns out there’s an unexpected dark side to their identical genes, and this transforms their story from a romantic fairy-tale into a shadowy conspiracy.
