Many parents resolve not to make the same mistakes their parents made. They are terrified that their sorrows and frustrations are irreversibly projected on their own children and will live on in future generations. Since his school days, documentary filmmaker Jesper Andersson has been a friend of Daniel’s, who like him is on bad terms with his father. Both are around thirty years old now and are still missing their fathers’ love and presence. Now that they have become fathers themselves, this deficiency is a stumbling block in their own parenthood. Desperately, they try to give new meaning to the father-son relationship they longed for themselves.
