How Nikita Got Herself a Horse

Nikita, a 13-year-old from Amsterdam-East, tells us everything: she likes acting, loves to sing and wants to become a veterinarian. She talks about why she has a bellybutton piercing, what she thinks about life after death and how much she loves her mother and grandmother. Nikita's mother explains that in primary school, her daughter was teased so badly that she taught her to fight back. As the director films Nikita during her activities in and around the house, her mother explains what motivated her to buy Nikita a horse four years ago. The animal marked a change in Nikita's life, who worked "miracles" with the beautiful black stallion.
