Festival history

Many people are afraid of insects. This does not alter the fact that insects especially like to go for other insects. As is demonstrated by the episode BATTLEZONE from the ALIEN EMPIRE series, every insect has its natural enemy. Apparently, even the most poisonous spider can be snatched from its web by a tropical dragonfly, and gigantic beetles are defenceless against an army of ants that crush everything that is in their way. The resourcefulness with which some species insure their survival is shown in a breathtaking way, but is unfit for a weak stomach: the images of a caterpillar who is injected twice with the eggs of a wasp are heartrending - especially knowing that the larvae will eat the caterpillar alive from within. BATTLEZONE reveals a struggle that is almost as old as life itself. And man can safely watch it all in close-up and in detail.
