Portrait of the Somali teenager Nima, who has been living in a centre for refugees for years. She fled Somalia with her mother and now hopes she can stay in the Netherlands for good. Every day, she asks the gatekeeper of the centre for the mail, hoping to receive the letter that will grant her and her mother residence permits. Meanwhile, she enjoys herself with her Somali and Azerbaijani friends. She attends school, skates by the sea and realises that Holland is a free country where women are allowed to study and work. Then, the long-awaited letter arrives.
