Edith Recinos invites you into her kitchen to share her recipe for pupusas -the traditional dish of El Salvador. As the cheese binds and the dough rests, we learn of a land far away, a memory of a war, a heart broken and a dream unattainable. This nostalgic and intimate film explores the no man’s land for diaspora who leave their country to stay alive, but forever long for a home to which they can never return. "I will arrive like a little child who can not defend itself. But little by little I will learn to crawl, and then... I will walk firmly."
