Lou Biou - The Feast of the Fabulous Bull
In the Camargue region of Southern France, a village festival without bulls is unthinkable. The inhabitants of this region have a deep-seated passion for this quick, agile, and above all deadly animal. , meaning the bull, follows a number of : daring young men who enter the arena with a wild bull during the festival and try to grab small objects attached to its horns. It's an adrenaline-charged battle of wills that ends with the most dexterous, the quickest, and most unflinching carrying off a cup and the prize money. Some get injured, while others even die -- the slightest error of judgment can mean ending up on the horns of the bull. The undisputed champion is a young man of Algerian descent. Many see him as a hero, but in this region where tradition is still very much alive, others begrudge him his success because he is an Arab. Former Thierry speaks lovingly of a 19-year-old bull, which is seeing out its days grazing in the pasture. Despite differences in background and culture, the bull clearly acts as a unifying factor in this community.
