Become a volunteer at IDFA!

From November 14th till November 24th, 2024, IDFA will celebrate its 37th edition at over 20 different locations in the city of Amsterdam.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us. IDFA could not exist without the hundreds of volunteers that work for the festival every year. Volunteers are an important and intrinsic aspect to the successful organization of IDFA. You will run into them in every corner of the festival: at the theater doors, hosting the box office, in the Doclab exhibition, or delivering the festival daily lunches and posters. They welcome our guests and audiences, function as our eyes and ears during the festival, and are ambassadors of IDFA thanks to their enthusiasm for the festival.

What can you expect?

• A crew pass that grants you access to all regular IDFA screenings.
• Lunch during a morning/afternoon shift, dinner during an afternoon/evening shift.
• Coffee, tea, and snacks during your shifts.
• Travel reimbursement when applicable (see our volunteer policy).
• Access to special volunteer events: an exclusive screening for volunteers, a yet-to-be-revealed volunteer activity, and of course, the legendary volunteer closing party!

What do we ask of you?

• You are reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to work in a community of like-minded individuals.
• You are available for at least 7 shifts during the period from November 14 to 24, 2024. Different roles (see job descriptions) may have different availability requirements and require different skills.
