October 18: The Last Year of Darkness: afterparty with Ambu Bambu

This event is presented by IDFA and DARKMATTER Collective as part of Amsterdam Dance Event.

IDFA and DARKMATTER Collective welcome you for a night of film, drag performance and music at the Vondelpark Pavilion as part of Amsterdam Dance Event and IDFA's Under Construction program.

After the screening of Last Year of Darkness, everyone is welcome for a three hour set by none other than Groningen rising star Ambu Bambu. With breakbeat, electro, and percussive experimentalism, she will take you on a bouncy journey through electronic broken rhythms. She likes to pay homage to her ethnic heritage by using melodies and sounds inspired by traditional Chinese music, effortlessly blending moody, fast-paced electronics with Asian motifs.

It is possible to attend the afterparty without seeing the screening.
