Landscapes Unknown (II)

"Landscapes Unknown (II)" by Melle van Essen and Riekje Ziengs is the long-awaited sequel to their film about renowned Dutch painter Melle a film about looking and seeing, art and documentary making. The ways of looking of three artists (graphic designer Jan Hendrix in Mexico, photographer Malick Sidibé in Mali and painter Frans Walon in Amsterdam) are captured in inimitable images, reverting to the film makers' unique art through photography and editing - of experiencing and perpetrating reality.
