I Feel...
Ten-year-old Robert and seven-year-old Jasmijn see more than other children, or so it seems. They feel particularly at home in nature. "Even if I only just got there, it feels like I've been there for ages," explains Robert. He experiences a particular kind of energy in the outdoors, and is disappointed that people think this is strange. Jasmijn feels the same. Sometimes, she tells others about the colors she sees surrounding certain people, or about her guardian angel - but they don't believe her. The filmmaker, who roams with Robert and Jasmijn separately through woods and dunes, asks offscreen how it feels. In Jasmijn's words, "I hear them, I see them, so for me they exist." We see the children touching trees, talking to animals and feeling at one with their surroundings. Sometimes, both will feel scary things; Robert senses an impending accident. But there are also special moments. As Jasmijn says, "Everyone has a guardian angel." And Robert notices that not everyone who has died is gone: "Dead people carry on living a bit, because I can still see them. These are nice things." It's not always easy to experience this much, but Robert is sure: "There are more children like me."
